I was under the impression that crona was orignally a female in the manga but when the series was animated they chose to change the cahracter to a male. This also happened in cowboy bebop with Ed. The concept of gender identity due to being connected to ragnarok is definitly interesting though.
i know what you’re saying, some series convert their characters when they’re made into shows for various reasons, but i’m pretty sure Okubo just wanted to leave Crona’s sex a mystery so that he could watch his fans argue over it and stab each other with forks and etc. hype like that is good for a fanbase so i kind of understand him. and thanks ahah i was high when that thought came to me :x
i think that when Ragnarok and Crona were conjoined into one being, their sexes cancelled out
i mean, i don’t know how much time both of them had to develop their gender standards before becoming one (sounds weird) but Crona as an individual is very androgynous now so i guess it doesn’t matter. i’m not dying to find out whether Crona’s a he, she, or hermaphrodite. whatever. Crona could be a robot my opinions still wouldn’t change. Ragnarok’s obviously a guy. so i find that my real question is… whether or not we should call them one person?
i’m digressing too much. personally, i think Crona was a girl at some point but obviously it’s beyond debating and likely to never be proven true
so can we all just get along please i see too much drama on the tracked tag :’(
